Susanna Tang – Lawyer
Partly due to her background, Susanna understands the cultural and legal differences between China and the Netherlands and assists Dutch companies in negotiating and setting up a joint venture with a Chinese partner company, as well as Chinese companies in need of investment in the Netherlands and Europe. With her extensive network, Susanna knows how to assist companies to do business in China.
“Thinking along at an early stage creates opportunities for fine-tuning. Businesses are better placed to identify and weigh up risks. This helps them save a lot of time and money. As a legal partner, I like to think along with you about creative yet adequate solutions.”
Susanna completed her law studies at Leiden University in 2014 and she holds an LL.M. in Chinese Civil & Commercial Law (Beijing Government Scholarship) from Beijing University. In 2012, she participated in the US Legal Studies exchange program at UConn Law School in Hartford, Connecticut.
Susanna was involved in the organising committee of the Dutch embassy for the Sino-Dutch trade dinner and business matchmaking during the Dutch trade mission to China in 2015. Susanna chaired the Justitia foundation from 2017 to 2018 and organised the annual Justitia event of the Amsterdam Bar Association.
Susanna Tang has registered Corporate Law as the principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister).
