Christiaan graduated from Utrecht University, in Private Law, with an emphasis on Private Construction Law.
Starting his career in 1998 with CMS Derks Star Busmann, he joined Marxman in 2006, and heads the Property & Government Division. At Marxman Christiaan has a consultancy and litigation practice in Property Law and also has experience in general real estate practice. His specialism being Civil Construction Law.

Having completed the In-Depth Course Private Construction Law at the Dutch Construction Law Institution, he worked for the Estate Agency Training Centre (Studiecentrum Opleidingen Makelaardij - SOM) as a teacher. Christiaan regularly lectures and provides different courses to interested parties. He is a member of several specialist associations, including the Dutch Construction Law Association and the Association of Construction Law Attorneys, and is a published author in different specialist journals.

In his leisure time Christiaan enjoys nothing better than getting on his motorbike and heading for the open roads. He has a passion for competitive sailing in both Dutch and foreign waters.
